2 The System is built on proven, patented pressure control technology that uses more than 80 years of experience in maintaining pipelines and piping systems around the world. Stopping flow using the SHORTSTOPP Plugging System instead of squeezing at two places eliminates stress points, maintaining the line s System includes fittings for 4, 6 and 8-inch lines which enables you to attach a branch line. The branch line keeps a low profile because it is a bottom out branch. At a later date, the branch line can be temporarily plugged if necessary. Additionally, 4 and 6-inch fittings permit plugging the main with the SHORTSTOPP II Plugging than required in a typical squeezing operationThreaded completion plug permits removal of all equipment when work is done, including tapping valveExisting SHORTSTOPP equipment owners simply need to add products to complete the System .
