This application is exclusively for ski and SNOWBOARD INSTRUCTORS . There are departments other than ski school with available positions, such as Retail, Food Service, Lifts and Tubing, and Snowmaking. A. separate Employment Application is available for those wishing to apply for employment in these departments. On this application, please indicate the days and times that you are available to work. We provide an opportunity to work days, nights, and holiday break. By stating your availability, you will assist us in obtaining a well-rounded staff that will better answer the needs of our guests.

2 Employment usually starts just before the snow, which is generally the second week in December. If, in fact, you have never worked at a ski area before, Willard Mountain provides training to all employees so that they feel both confident and safe in their work environment. The most important assets that one of our employees can have are a terrific personality and a positive approach to their job. These traits help Willard maintain a pleasant, customer centered interaction across all departments. Applications for the season are accepted on an ongoing basis starting October 1st. Once your application is complete, it will be reviewed by the department manager and you will receive a phone call back, usually within a week. Please feel free to call us at 518-692-7337 if it has been longer than that so that we can check on the status of your application for you. After the approval of your application, you will attend your department's clinic so that your supervisor can cover topics of importance for your position.

3 Your manager will be more than happy to explain the specifics of your job as well as answer any questions that you may have at that time. The workshop for new ski and SNOWBOARD INSTRUCTORS will be held on December 8th and 9th from 9am-4pm. Returning INSTRUCTORS will be advised of upcoming clinics. If you are hired, you will be granted Season's Pass privileges that will begin as soon as we are operational. After one season of employment, there are other benefits, such as free or discounted passes for family members, based on the hours that you work.
