Amdt 3 2003 Amended to change the scope and the definition for lot, to replace references to SABS SM 182 with ISO 11341, SABS ISO 9001, SABS ISO 9002, SABS ISO 9003 with SANS 9001, to add and delete safety signs.

Amdt 5 2008 Amended to add four general informative signs, one fire fighting informative sign , five warning signs, seven mandatory signs and seven prohibition signs. Foreword This SOUTH AFRICAN STANDARD was approved by NATIONAL Committee SABS TC 64, Lighting and optics, in accordance with procedures of the SABS standards Division, in compliance with annex 3 of the WTO/TBT agreement.
