Emplovee inChargeof Safetv(EIC).SEPTA'sEICis responsibleforsetting up workzonesand out-ofservicetrack. This federallymandated,SEPTA employeewillgive daily job briefings,setup workzones,andbeoverallresponsibleforsafe tyatthework Electric Traction Power. ThecontractrequirestheContractorto not bepermittedto workunderthewires,basedon allowedbecauseofequipmentrestrictions.

This plan must be submittedthirty(30)daysprior towearhard hats,safetyshoes,orboots,fullcoverclothi ng,safetyvests(ANSIS tandard107 Class2 Level 2) whenworkingin the trackarea,and carry track lights whenworking fromduskto dawn orwhenvisibilityis be onthealert for workcars/ hyrailvehiclesoperatingineitherdirection at all the directionfromwhich trains in work shall bedonein the Beforecrossinganytracks,STOP,andlook fortrackcarmovementsapproachingin either direction. Do notcrosstracksunlessyou havetime to walkslowly,and do not notstepon theheadof hands and feet clear of power switches.
