Motor0 Complete unit4 NKSI nstructions for use of the CATALOGUE The parts that form NKS pumps are divided in three basic logical units:- Hydraulic partgroup Ipage7- Mechanical partgroup IIpage14- Sealing partgroup IIIpage23 The division of a NKS pump to individual groupsfollows from picture mentioned groups are included in the cata-logue separately. Each group starts with itsown assembly with numbers of positions, and alist with the names of the included following pages, the parts of theparticular group are included in ascendingorder with respect to the numbers of individual parts vary according to type sizeof the pump and they can also vary in depend-ence on material (or constructional) design ofthe pump, or they can depend on the utilizedseal. We therefore recommend the followingprocedure for search for the CATALOGUE designa-tion of the Spare part:Determine type size of the pump from the following table according to the suction flange, discharge flange and nominal impeller size.

Notes:**) These pumps exceed the prescriptions stated in ISO 2858, but follow generally accepted sizing of impellerSizeDN1DN2 Nomi-nal of impellerSizeDN1DN2 Nomi-nal of impeller15032125151008012529150125250216 016160303153200176520031400425018 2503220015025056550125193153331561602012 580160344007402002120035**50082502225036 **250200315931523 31537**4001080651252440038**500111602510 020039**63012502002625040**3002503151325 02731541**400143152840042**50043**630 Table 1: Determination of type size of the assemblyPicture No. 1- Basic units of the NKS pump5 NKS According to picture, determine 1 which group the required Spare part belongs to. If you are not certain, you can get better idea from assemblies of the individual groups included in picture 2 (page 6), picture 14 (page 14), picture 35 (page 22), picture 36 (page 22) and picture 37 (page 23). Determine the name of the required Spare part and number of the position according to appropriate set of the group of parts and according to the following list of parts on pages 6, 14 or 23.

After you determine the type size of the pump, number of the position of the required Spare part and affiliation of the required Spare part to the particular group, determine the designation of size of the required part from table 2 (page 7), table 17 (page 15), or table 40 (page 24). Find appropriate table for the part needed. For parts that do not depend on the material design of the pump, it is also possible to read CATALOGUE designation for ordering of the required Spare part of the particular size from the appropriate table. In the case that the part depends on material design of the pump, it is necessary to determine code designation of the material design from the type designation (first letter in reading 6). CATALOGUE designation of the part can then be found in the table in column with corresponding code designation of material design of the pump in the header. In the case that impeller is the Spare part, it is necessary to determine its effective diameter (reading 5) from type des-ignation and to communicate it to the manufacturer in order to ensure identical operating parameters after the re-placement of the Spare part.

In the case that lantern is the Spare part, it is necessary to determine code designation of the packing (reading 7) from the type designation of the pump so that it were obvious that the chamber between the cover and lantern is cooled (heated) or not. In the case of an uncooled (unheated) design, there is letter N in reading 7 of the type designation of the pump. In the case that compressed packing is fitted in the pump, this letter will be in the second position of the three-letter code. In the case that mechanical packing is fitted in the pump, the letter will be in the last position of the five-letter code. CATALOGUE designation of the lantern for its individual sizes will then be found in Table 45 in column for code N . In the case of a cooled (heated) design, letter K will replace letter N in the above-mentioned positions in the type designation of the pump. CATALOGUE designation of the lantern will then be found in Table 45 in column marked as code K.

In the case that pump bearings or support rings are the Spare parts , it must be determined from the type designation whether there is basic or reinforced shaft support in the pump. In the case that letter A is in the second position of the code designation of construction design (reading 11), the pump is fitted with basic shaft support and CATALOGUE designation of distance rings of the rear bearing and of the rear bearing will be determined from Tables 23 - 25 on pages 20 and 21. In the case that letter B is in the second position of the code designation of construction design, the pump is fitted with reinforced shaft support and CATALOGUE designation of distance rings of the rear bearing and of the rear bearing will be determined from Tables 26 and 27 on page 21. In the case of reinforced shaft support, the inner distance ring of the rear bearing is not required. Distance rings of the front bearing and the front bearing will remain identical for both designs. Note: parts included in Spare parts CATALOGUE are supplied on a common basis.
