St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church Annual Report ...

In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you. If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well. If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And, if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly. 1 In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you. 2 In September of 2009, it became apparent that our budgeted revenue was not trending as the finance committee had hoped. This required us to reforecast the parish budget. Besides reducing our expenditures substantially, our parish had to borrow funds from the Diocese in order to meet our obligations. It is my sincere hope to have our parish debt free within the next four years. Our strategy is to continue doing the good work our parish is known for, while continuing to streamline and update our day to day operations. With your continued support and commitment to the mission of St. joseph , Husband of Mary, we will truly accomplish great things for our parish and our greater community.

3 In Christ s Peace and Love, Fr. Marc A Message from Our Pastor Dear Parish Family, For many of us this past year has been a labor of love. The difficulty for so many of us is what love demands true love demands sacri-fice and trust. Sometimes we might feel that our individual or collective sacrifices go unnoticed by those around us. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for responding so generously in sacrificial love during these difficult fiscal times. Additionally, I would like to remind you that your generosity certainly does not go unnoticed by God. As we compiled this Report , it became apparent to me that the parish has thousands of generous parishioners that give freely of their time, talent, and treasure to accomplish good works for God s glory.

4 For example, we have over a thousand dedicated volunteers that serve our community of faith in different ministries. We have even a greater number who support the mission of our parish with financial contributions. Your gifts are truly appreciated. With that being said, I offer this Annual Stewardship Report for your review. This Report , among other things, outlines in general terms our revenue and expenses.
