Avaya Learning Virtual Campus 2D System Requirements 14 February 2014 v1 Training Medium Validations Remote Lab Sessions run on TECNet Avaya Learning vILT and LAB sessions are Instructor Facilitated and allow you to do hands-on work in an authentic technical environment, from your own computer, using the Internet. The remote lab environment is not a simulation. You will work on a real system. It is important to test your access per the instructions outlined in the Avaya Learning course access pre-check notification when received to ensure any access issues are identified and resolved in advance of your scheduled session. Avaya Learning utilizes Avaya s VPN Gateway product to provide students with remote access to Avaya Learning Training labs.

6 The VPN Gateway uses SSL Java port forwarders and Avaya Netdirect tunneling to allow real-time access to the specific lab solutions during training events. System requirement: Most of the common Operating System and web browser combinations are compatible with Avaya s TECNet SSL portal access. Note: Windows 7 64-Bit is supported for Netdirect but only with a 32 bit browser at the current release. - Your browser s Pop-up Blockers must be disabled. - A current version of Java Runtime. - A current, running, antivirus program. Netdirect connections make use of UDP 5000-5001 or fallback 443. Access to these portals requires support for local loopback to to forward packets to support access to some of the labs. Please ensure any client firewalls and any Security applications you are running are able to accept such connections.

7 You may need to consult your software manual or with your IT team on instructions on how to do this. If your internet access is via a web proxy, you may need to add the range to the proxy exception list. When running the event, please do not connect to another system via a VPN connection as this may conflict with the training. Where possible, we recommend taking the event on a direct-to-internet connection to avoid possible corporate proxy issues. For Avaya Employees on the corporate network, you must disable your browser's web proxy and automatic configuration script for the duration of the session. Or use an alternate browser with no proxy enabled. 14 February 2014 v1 Training Medium Validations Remote Lab Sessions run on TECNet (continued) If you are not able to disable pop-ups, download and install software to your computer due to Administrative rights, please contact your Local IT Support for help.
