2 The event was attended by AutoZone executives and suppliers from around the country. It is very exciting to win the AutoZone Supplier of the Year Award three years in a row! 7 ALL THE LATEST NEWS at your fingertipsHow to get itTo get the new d6 Communicator simply uninstall your old version by going to your PC Control Panel, All programs, locate the d6 Communicator and click uninstall. Then go to and select Communicator to install the new communicator. Follow the easy prompts to load the application onto your computer. TAKING THE LEAD IN METAL PRESS Holdings has invested over R70 million Rand in state-of the-art servo press technology as part of our new Metal Pressing division , housed at our new manufacturing site in Port Elizabeth.
8 The new division was launched with a special ribbon cutting ceremony on 10 March 2015. Members of the local and international OEM industry, aftermarket parts suppliers and the media were in attendance to commemorate the momentous achievement. Our new 630 Ton Schuler Servo Drive Transfer Press is the first of its kind in South Africa and is set to transform metal pressings in the automotive sector. Servo drive technology provides a significant increase in production efficiency and component quality because of its capability to press higher strength steels.
9 This new form of technology and the diversification of our product range offering will provide considerable benefits to our OEM customer impressive features of the Press were demonstrated to guests during the launch such as its ability to accommodate both transfer and progressive dies, with an impressive 15 minute die changing process. Various sizes of dies including , by dies are effortlessly fitted into the press. Examples of the products that can be manufactured are air bag inflator holders, spare wheel housing, vehicle bumper brackets, seats and window metal parts.
10 Further value adding operations, such as welding of threaded nuts and studs, and riveting sub-assemblies in the die can be performed during the normal cycle of the press. The introduction of servo press technology is certain to change the automotive industry and is a start of great things to come. We received national and local coverage of the launch in newspapers such as Die Burger, Beeld and The Herald,creating awareness around our new product offering.
