2 Andwhereas, it has become necessary to acquire the immediatepossession of the Lands specified in the Schedule below, theGovernor of TAMIL nadu hereby directs that the lands beacquired under the provisions of sub-section (1) of theSection 17 of the said , therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred bysub-section (2) of Section 4 of the said Act, the Governor ofTamil nadu hereby authorizes the Special Tahsildar[1](Land Acquisition), chennai metro rail limited , chennai Unit-II, , Alwarpet Street, Alwarpet, chennai 18, and his staff andworkman to exercise the powers conferred by the said Section 3(c) of the Act, the Governor of TAMIL nadu ,hereby appoints the Special Tahsildar (Land Acquisition), ChennaiUnit-II, chennai metro rail limited , , Alwarpet Street,Alwarpet, chennai 18 to perform the functions of the Collectorunder the said sub-section (4) of Section 17 of the said Act, theGovernor of TAMIL nadu hereby directs that in view of theurgency of the case, the provisions of Section 5A of thesaid Act, shall not apply in this District, Mambalam-Guindy Taluk,Kodambakkam , No.
