2 The material is particularly suitable for the treatment on machines. It has an excellent hot working property. In Germany CuZn39Pb3 is the benchmark material for the assessment of the machinability (index 100%). It rather is a comparative rating ( CuZn39Pb3 =100%). Ratings from other sources might be different. Corrosion resistance Poor resistance to water, several saline solutions and organic fluids compared to a homogeneous -brass. Not resistant to acid, damp sulfur compounder, damp ammonia, especially sensitive to stress corrosion cracking and dezincification in a not stress relieved condition. Shapes and dimensions Form of delivery *The delivery of bulk coils is only possible on request for soft, round wires. However, this has to be checked in detail.
