2 Using the built-in looppower supply, the RIA 250 can power aconnected sensor, and then it canevaluate its signal to the RIA 250. Twopresettable alarm set points monitor themeasured value for any deviation fromthe preset adjustable analog output offers aninstrument from which a matched signalfor further analysis equipment can beobtained. Simple configuration isavailable directly at the RIA 250 via a control is simplified with theRIA 250 which can transmit power to atransmitter, receive and indicate auniversal input, and transmit an analogoutput signal (optional) or communicatevia withReadWin 2000 PCSoftwareThe RIA 250 can be set up extremelyeasily using the built-in RS 232 serialinterface and the Endress+HauserReadWin 2000 PC software.

3 Safe andsecure set-up is made possible via on-line help text. ReadWin 2000 softwareand interface cable are Features Compatible with Windows 95/98/2000/NT/XP/CE PC operatingsystem Storage of unit settings in a data bank Instantaneous value Display Printout of unit settingsAlarm limitindicators5-digit LED display12-segment LEDbargraph displaySelectionpushbuttonsEnterpushbutt on3 LinearizationThe RIA 250 Display has a built inlinearization function. It is possible forthe user to set up a connection betweenthe input signal and the value to bedisplayed on the unit. These points canbe set up using the 3 front mounted pushbuttons, or they can be easily definedand transmitted using the ReadWin2000 operator :Linearization of a vessel signal thatdescribes the relationship between thefilling height and the vessel OutputTransmitterAlarm LimitsThe RIA 250 Display can be fitted with ananalog output (optional).

4 The outputsignal is proportional to the displayedmeasured value and the bargraphdisplays the input signal Features Current/Voltage output Galvanic isolation Infinite scaling within the displayrange Presettable fault operation to NAMUR recommendation NE43 Invertable measurement signal outputUsing the linearization function and theanalog output, the RIA 250 processdisplay can also be applied as an easy-to-use amplifier. The large number ofalready stored temperature linearizationtables as well as a square root functioncan be easily selected from the :The signal from a temperature sensor isconnected to the input of the unit, thenlinearized and displayed as a tempera-ture analog output is made available toother instrumentation ( data loggersor recorders) as a current or voltagesignal proportional to the additional limit function monitors themeasured signal once per second toverify that the preset parameters havebeen limits can be individually set-up forminimum or maximum security, as a highor low limit with presettable hysteresis aswell as being able to define a switchtime delay.

Two presettablelimit values monitor the measured value for any infringement ofthe preset conditions and control the two output relays. Aconnected transmitter can be directly powered by the analog signal is digitized, analyzed aand indicated on thedisplay.
