Scope: This SPECIFICATION covers the manufacturing , testing at works and supply of rail SECTIONS . 2. Applicable standard: As per IS: 3443 / 1980 with latest amendments for rail SECTIONS and other relevant standard mention therein with latest amendment up to date of tender.

General Requirement: General requirements relating to supply of material shall be as laid down in IS :1387-1967*. * Code of designation of steel: Part I Based on letter symbol (first revision). 4. Dimension: The rail SECTIONS dimension shall be in accordance with the details mentioned in table 2 of Indian standard- IS: 3443-1980. Calculated sectional properties based on these dimensions shall be as given in Table 3 of IS: 3443-1980. The tolerances on various dimensions shall be as given in Table 4 of IS: 3443-1980. 5. The samples and acceptance criteria: The Nos. of sample randomly selected from the lot shall be One for every 100 tonnes or part thereof subject to a minimum of one specimen per cast in accordance with and acceptance criteria as per IS: 3443-1980.

3 6. Acceptance test: The acceptance tests given below are to be carried out on randomly selected sample. a. Verification of dimension. b. Yield strength test. c. Elongation test. d. Hardness test e. Chemical composition. 7. ISI License: The Bidder should submit notarized copy of BIS license along with Bid clearly showing the size of tender / offer item valid at least up to the date of opening of tenders. If applied for renewal of the license, copy of receipt of the fees and / as acknowledge of application from BSI license. The offer without the BIS license shall be out rightly rejected. 8. MARKING: As per IS: 3443-1980 Each rail SECTIONS shall be marked with the following details: a) Manufacturer's identification mark.

SCOPE: This specifications covers manufacturing / rolling, testing as per IS 3443:1980 and Supply of rail SECTIONS 90 / 105 - 10 Mtrs. LONG to GETCO's Destination (within Gujarat State). Destination. rail SECTIONS shall be conforming to IS: 3443:1980 with latest amendments. 2. DIMENSION: rail section 90 / 105 - 10 with length tolerance as per IS 3443:1980. Detailed dimension shall be as per attached Annexure A. 3. ROLLING TOLERANCE: Rolling and cutting tolerance for the material to be supplied will be as per IS3443:1980.

MATERIAL: The material when analysed in accordance with appropriate part of IS :228 (Methods of chemical analysis of steels) and its relevant parts shall have any of the chemicals compositions on the finished product given in Table 1of IS: location of sample for chemical analysis shall be as shown in of IS:3443-1980. 5. EMBOSSING OF RAILS: As per IS: 3443-1980 Each rail SECTIONS shall be marked with the following details: a) Manufacturer's identification mark. b) Designation. The material may also be marked with ISI Certification. 6. SECTIONAL WEIGHT: rail SECTIONS should have sectional weight of - 90lb (45 Kg. / Mtr).
