1 Codes and Classifications The National Classification of Economic Activities Based on the International Standard Industrial Classification of All Economic Activities - (ISIC - Revision 4) 2019 Aug Codes and Classifications National Classification of Economic Activities 2 Introduction The National Classification of Economic Activities was developed according to the fourth revision of the International Standard Industrial Classification of All Economic Activities (ISIC, ) that was issued by the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). Its main purpose is to provide a set of activity categories that can be utilized for the collection and presentation of statistics according to such Activities .

2 ISIC is defined as the way that sorts statistical units according to a set of serial groups Based on similarities in order to find a framework for comparison between statistical data at the domestic, regional and international levels. According to the relevant guidelines, the Economic Activities are divided into specific categories under common similarities which are applied to the type of goods, service outputs, usage and related services, the intermediate inputs, technologies and means of funding. The establishment or Economic activity unit is the foundation of this Classification .

3 Thus, elements of various Economic Activities are classified under the associated main activity conducted by this unit regardless of the property or the method of work. The Classification 's main purpose is to provide a set of statistical data according to kind of Economic activity in the fields of Economic statistics, such as for production, labor force, salaries and wages, capital assets, revenues, losses and budgets as well as an inclusive framework for Economic Activities .
