La CEI apour objet de favoriser la coop ration internationale pour toutes les questions de normalisation dans lesdomaines de l' lectricit et de l' lectronique. A cet effet, la CEI, entre autres activit s, publie des Normesinternationales. Leur laboration est confi e des comit s d' tudes, aux travaux desquels tout Comit national int ress par le sujet trait peut participer. Les organisations internationales, gouvernementales etnon gouvernementales, en liaison avec la CEI, participent galement aux travaux. 5 The object of the IEC is topromote international cooperation on all questions concerning standardization in the electrical andelectronic fields. To this end and in addition to other activities, the IEC publishes International preparation is entrusted to technical committees; any IEC National Committee interested inthe subject dealt with may participate in this preparatory work. International, governmental andnon-governmental organizations liaising with the IEC also participate in this preparation. They may be portable,stationary, fixed, or does not apply to: thermal-storage room heaters (IEC 531);-heating appliances incorporated in the building structure;-central heating systems; heaters connected to an air duct;-wall-paper, carpets or drapes incorporating flexible heating standard defines the main performance characteristics of direct-acting roomheaters and specifies methods for measuring these characteristics, for the information standard does not specify values for performance - This standard does not deal with:-safety requirements (IEC 335-2-30);acoustical noise of fan heaters (IEC 704-2-2).
