The purpose of this on-going meeting is to provide everyone in our faith community with an opportunity to ask questions, and/or provide comments, suggestions, or general feedback regarding our faith community and its leadership. The Chili Cook-off youth fundraiser will be held on Friday January 12th at 6:00pm in Fellowship Hall, so mark your calendars. Please come out and show your support. We will need chefs and chili-eaters as well as a set-up crew, servers, and a clean-up crew. Tickets on sale NOW between services this week and next week. We re also accepting chef sign-ups of all ages between 16 and 106! Chefs: sign up using this link or sign up in the hall. 7 This is a great event! LAST CALL-- GET TICKETS NOW! Congregation Meeting/Lunch - Jan. 28th The St. Paul's Constitution and By-Laws require that an Annual Meeting of the congregation be held in January of each year. The 2018 Annual Meeting has been scheduled for 10:30am in the Sanctuary on Sunday, January 28th. That morning we will have one combined worship service at 9:30am and no faith formation classes. The purpose of the annual meeting is to review church business for 2017 and plan for 2018. The annual report will be available in mid-January for your review. A pot-luck lunch will be served in Fellowship Hall following the meeting. We would like people to bring hot foods such as meatballs, hot roast beef, baked ziti and mac & cheese.
8 Also rolls, salads & desserts would be great. Please sign up! There will be an online sign-up as well as a sign-up sheet in the hall. Please make every effort to attend this important meeting as a quorum is required. It truly is important that you be there. Our Annual Report will be out by Sunday, Jan. 14th. Linda Dierksheide (Treasurer)and Anne Albright (Fincl Secty) will be available to answer questions on the 14th and the 21st in the Lounge (Room 110) between services (9:30am). 9 YOUTH CORNER YY Bowling Palace - 3-5:00pm Sun. Sign up: MS Laser Tag (Grand Slam) - Sunday, Jan. 28th. Bring $25 ($12 for 2 games and dinner). Limited to 22. To sign up online: 7th-8th Grade Confirmation Class - 6:15p in FH on various Sundays throughout the year. Participants receive schedule. Contact Joan Strawbridge at with questions. High School Youth Group (9th - 12th) - will meet twice a month from 6:45-8:15p. We will alternate between the Lounge at St Matthew's and the Parsonage at St Paul's. 10 Paul s and St. Matthew s. On a monthly basis the church that either has the most positive amount of money raised (or the least negative) will win the coveted trophy. The jugs will be collected the last Sunday of the month and the results calculated. All the money collected (positive & negative) will be credited to the church that collected it, so no matter what variety of coins/paper bills you donate, your youth benefit. Envelope Drive Underway. Please consider making a cash donation to help defer the cost of attending the National Youth Gathering for the 28 youth and adults. It is estimated that the per person cost will be approximately $1,400. Simply take an envelope marked with a suggested donation amount, include your donation and return it to the office or put it in the collection plate.
