For units to rapidly deploy, commanders mustensure their units maintain the highest degree of Embarkation readiness at all Corps Reference Publication (MCRP) , unit Embarkation Handbook ,addresses the doctrine, techniques, and procedures for effectively managing a unit embarkationprogram and planning and executing Embarkation operations.

3 In the case of amphibiousembarkation operations, a Marine expeditionary unit (MEU) is used as an example target audience for MCRP is the noncommissioned officer (NCO) through cap-tain in the Embarkation military occupational specialty (MOS) and other NCOs/officersassigned unit Embarkation s guidance and relevant information provides commanders and their staffsan appreciation of the internal workings of a unit Embarkation section and the critical role itplays in a successful unit deployment. MCRP serves to provide uniformity acrossthe Marine Corps for integration into standing operating procedures (SOPs).
