VERICLAIM Protected Page 1 of 2 VERICLAIM GUIDELINES Handover Process The purpose of this document is to assist practices with GUIDELINES /steps pertaining to the Handover Process . Please ensure that you follow the legal notice Process prior to handing your patients over for debt collection.
2 Handover Process The legal notice list can be used for approval for hand overs Compile the list and give to your Dr for approval Once approved, follow these steps: o Print the invoice statement with the notebook history on each account to be handed over to the Debt Collectors o Journalize your account as Bad Debt , reason: Handed Over o Your account will change to a zero balance account, which will no longer have a negative impact on your age analysis o The account status will change to Handed Over and will populate a note in the notebook indicating Bad debt was done with date and rand value. VERICLAIM Protected Page 2 of 2 o If you d like the account status to update automatically, you need to log a support ticket in order for the call centre to activate the Auto Set Account Status functionality on your practice (Admin Setting ) o All Handovers to be given to Debt Collectors
