It is very important to consider the following recommendations to give a correct fitting lens in MIRAFLEX Flexible & Safe's Frames: 1.

2 MIRAFLEX patterns: always use MIRAFLEX patterns for best results. MIRAFLEX patterns keep the original shape of frame and cuts the lens with in the right size. We do not recommend to trace the frame because the material of the Flexible & Safe frame is soft and malleable and the tracer may distort the shape of the frame. This distortion causes faulty shaped lenses. 2. Frame Tracer: put the pattern in the Frame tracer keeping its axis. 3. Edging machine: when the Edging machine shows the positioning of the bevel: a. In plus lenses with more than 3 diopters and central thickness more than mm: in the temporal and nasal areas, adjust the right bevel two notches towards the exterior of the frame from the center bevel. In the superior and inferior of the frame areas adjust the bevel towards the interior from the center bevel. b. In minus lenses with more than 3 diopters: to create a curve on a flat lens, split the percentage bevel 30-35% outside on the nasal area and inside on temporal area.

3 C. In plus lenses, less than 2 diopters or minus lenses less than 3 diopters: we suggest to use an automatic bevel, similar to the right bevel. 4. Lens Fitting: Chamfering (Safety bevel) the lens: It is important to chamfer the inner part of the lens especially in the nasal part with a manual edger (without decreasing the diameter of the lens) or directly in the edger to remove the edge of the lens and prevent damage to the frame during the mounting of the lens and obtaining with a sharp bevel a better assembly of the lens in the frame avoiding falls of the lens. 5. Lens Mounting: heat the front for 10 seconds (Better with hot air frame warmer). Insert the lens from the inside of the frame, first the nasal part, successively the upper temporal part and finally the lower temporal part, bend the hinge and keeping it bent dip the front and the hinge in cold water for 5 seconds, finally bend both temples and put the MIRAFLEX.
