Simon and Jude Church 3 The Crib helps us contemplate the mystery of God s love that was revealed in the poverty and simplicity of the Bethlehem Grotto.
8 St Francis of Assisi was so taken by the mystery of the Incarnation that he wanted to present it anew at Greccio in the living Nativity scene, thus beginning an old, popular tradition that still retains its value for evangelization today. Indeed, the Crib can help us understand the secret of the true Christmas because it speaks of the humility and merciful goodness of Christ, who though he was rich he made himself poor for us (II Cor 8: 9). Pope Benedict XVI, Blessing of the Bambinelli, 2005. I am happy to welcome to the St. Raphael parish staff as an Administrative Assistant, Mrs.

10 The Holy Family Hall at SEAS will be patched where necessary and painted in the coming days. The hall is now ten years old. Your patience with the scaffolding and slight disruption will be appreciated. There remains money (a bit over $7,000) in the SEAS Church Alive campaign account to assist in payment of this necessary work. Please note and plan accordingly: With Christmas Day and New Year s Day both falling on a Saturday, there will be NO evening Mass on those days. Sunday obligation on December 26 and January 2, will be satisfied by our regular Sunday Mass schedule.
