1 WINDSOR LocksWindsor LOCKS CANAL TrailTrail Highlights The WINDSOR LOCKS CANAL TRAIL parallels the ConnecticutRiver and the WINDSOR LOCKS CANAL in the towns of WINDSOR Locksand Suffield. The TRAIL begins at Bridge Street (Route 140) inWindsor LOCKS and proceeds in a northerly direction along theConnecticut River until its terminus at CANAL Road. Constructed onthe towpath for the old CANAL , this TRAIL offers numerous scenicviews of the connecticut River and the WINDSOR LOCKS CANAL . Atthe northern end of this TRAIL , a project is in progress to provideaccess across the connecticut River via the Route 190 bridge,terminating at Pearl and AccessibilityParking is available at a lot located at the end of CANAL Road atthe north end of the TRAIL , and at the south end of the TRAIL off ofRoute I-91 South:Take exit 47W in Enfield to Route 190.
2 TakeRoute 190 west across the connecticut River to East Street(Route 159). Turn left, then take immediate left onto CANAL lot is on the left at the end of the I-91 North:Take exit 42 in WINDSOR LOCKS to Route Route 159 north to Route 140 East (Bridge Street). Turnright, cross CANAL bridge, then take immediate left ontoroadway between CANAL and factory.
