REGULATING OVER-THE-COUNTER DERIVATIVE MARKETS IN SOUTH AFRICAFINANCIAL MARKETS ACT REGULATIONS 2016made in terms of the Financial Markets Act (No. 19 of 2012)INTRODUCTIONNational Treasury is publishing a third draft of the Ministerial Regulations (the Regulations) made in terms of the Financial Markets Act No. 19 of 2012 to enhance the governance, operational and risk management requirements for market infrastructures and to provide for matters relating to the provision of securities services in OVER-THE-COUNTER (OTC) derivatives . The Regulations were developed and first published in 2014, and again in 2015.
