In the thoracic and thoracolumbar spine, anterior fixation is indicated for burst fractures with significant canal compromise, vertebral body tumors, vertebral osteomyelitis, vertebral osteonecrosis or any other lesions that require corpectomy, and other indications requiring anterior stabilization.
