This study assesses the MEDICAL WASTE DISPOSAL practices in the study area. An inventory ofthe WASTE generated in each of the sampled hospital/clinics in the study area was carried out. The type of WASTE generatedwas identified through direct observation and use of instruments, questionnaire administration, in-depth interview and participant observation strategy/discussionwere adopted in this result of the findings showsthat there was no sanitation department or WASTE manager responsible for MEDICAL WASTE management in the privatehospitals/clinics.
