Corporate and Business Law (Zimbabwe) June 2013 Answers 1 (a) The three main courts of law in Zimbabwe are the Magistrates' court , the High court and the Supreme court of Zimbabwe. At the top of the hierarchy is the Supreme court , followed by the High court and the Magistrates court is found at the bottom of the ladder. Except in constitutional cases, the Supreme court does not enjoy original jurisdiction it is an appeal court . In criminal matters, magistrates can be divided into four categories: ordinary magistrates, senior magistrates, provincial magistrates and regional magistrates.
