CHAPTER 17 STRUCTURAL TESTS AND SPECIAL INSPECTIONSSECTION provisions of this CHAPTER shall apply toClass I buildings and shall govern the quality, workmanshipand requirements for materials covered. Materials of construc-tion and TESTS shall conform to the applicable standards listed inthis New building materials, equipment,appliances, systems or methods of construction not providedfor in this code, and any material of questioned suitability pro-posed for use in the construction of a building or structure, shallbe subjected to the TESTS prescribed in this CHAPTER and in theapproved rules to determine character.
