Washington State bridge Inspection manual M Page 5-1 January 2020 Chapter 5 load Rating and Scour5-1 GeneralThe National bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS) requires a load Rating be calculated for each reportable bridge * as well as a Scour evaluation for any reportable structure over water. Temporary structures that will be in service for more than 90 days shall be load rated as well as assessed for load Rating calculations and Scour evaluations are a permanent part of the bridge file and are to be updated when the condition of the bridge changes.
