Alcohol in the workplace is not asingle, clear-cut disciplinary offence, eventhough it may appear to be so there is arange of situations in which alcohol may beinvolved in some way or another. In the sameway, employers have a wide range ofresponses at their disposal, but, more oftenthan not, the employer s disciplinary code willsimply refer to an offence of intoxication or drunkenness.
