In 1993 Cummins engine Company established major jointventures to manufacture Cummins-designed diesel engineswith komatsu in Japan and with Tata Locomotive and Engi-neering Company ( Telco ) in India. As these Joint ventureswere developed from the agreement stage to operating organi-zations, a number of issues came to the fore. The followingexplores the problem of interfacing Cummins information sys-tems with these new organizations.
