Department of Defense MANUAL NUMBER September 24, 2014 Incorporating Change 1, December 13, 2017 USD(AT&L) SUBJECT: Defense Standardization Program (DSP) Procedures References: See Enclosure 1 1. PURPOSE. This MANUAL reissues DoD (Reference (a)) in accordance with the authority in DoD Directive (DoDD) (Reference (b)) and DoD Instruction (DoDI) (Reference (c)) to assign responsibilities and prescribe the procedures for implementing the DSP in accordance with sections 2451-2457 of Title 10, United States Code ( ) (Reference (d)). 2. APPLICABILITY. This MANUAL applies to OSD, the Military Departments, the Office of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Joint Staff, the Combatant Commands, the Office of the Inspector General of the Department of Defense , the Defense Agencies, the DoD Field Activities, and all other organizational entities within the DoD (referred to collectively in this MANUAL as the DoD Components ).
