Inthe United States, Colonoscopy has become the most com-monly used screening test. Adenomatous polyps are the mostcommon neoplasm found during CRC screening. There is ev-idence that detection and removal of these cancer precursorlesions may prevent many cancers and reduce , patients who have adenomas are at increased risk fordeveloping metachronous adenomas or cancer compared withpatients without adenomas.
