Selection of insulating and other materials that sur round the conductors is based on a number of performance factors: 1. Electrical: Dielectric constant; Insulation power factor; Insulation resistance (ac and I-minute de); charg ing current; arc resistance; tracking susceptibility; ozone resistance.
