Overview: The Indian auto industry is expected to be the world s third largest by 2016 only behind China and the US and will account for more than 5% of the global vehicle sales as per IBEF. It is also expected to become the fourth largest automobiles producer globally by 2020 after China, US and Japan (India is currently world s second largest two-wheeler manufacturer).
