Marriage : Love and Life in the divine plan A Pastoral Letter of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops 2 INTRODUCTION: THE BLESSING AND GIFT OF Marriage Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavens. (Eph 1:3) Among the many blessings that God has showered upon us in Christ is the blessing of Marriage , a gift bestowed by the Creator from the creation of the human race.
