Combustible material at base of Flare stack. 2. Air in Flare Line. POTENTIAL EFFECTS 1. Fire could result and spread off location. 2. Explosion which may cause worker injury or equipment damage. CONTROL 1. Ensure that there are no combustible materials at the base of the stack before lighting Flare tip and have a fire extinguisher present.
