SCOPE: These Procedures are used for Sampling Asphalt mixtures from the roadway prior to compaction, taking Cores from the roadway to determine density, and to determine the locations for securing core samples for testing. The mixtures and core samples obtained from this procedure will be used for acceptance or rejection in accordance with applicable specifications.
