SPORT AND RECREATION SECTOR . 2018/19 OPEN CALL FOR APPLICATIONS. The Distributing Agency for SPORT and RECREATION , established in terms of the Lotteries Act, 1997 (No. 57 of 1997, as amended), is once again in a position to consider applications for funding from the proceeds of the National Lottery. In adjudicating applications, the SPORT and RECREATION Distributing Agency (SRDA) will focus on the following strategic funding areas, aligned to Government's commitment to focus on sports development, especially at grassroots level: 1. National Sports Federations can apply for a maximum grant of R 5 000 for: Transformation & Development (minimum of 50% of value of the grant application);. International participation;. Domestic participation;. Capacity building;. Sports equipment and apparel. Note: A detailed plan for the Transformation & Development must be submitted with the application.
