Carmel Ave. Glenside, PA 19038 INTRODUCTION The evaluation of the ELECTROSTATIC (ESD) characteristics of molded and thermoformed conductive materials, components and assemblies must be evaluated using three separate tests. First, the basic material must be certified as to having the correct ELECTROSTATIC characteristics. Second, the components must be tested to confirm that the manufacturing process did not significantly alter the basic material ELECTROSTATIC properties. Finally, the complete assembly must be tested to ensure that satisfactory bonding occurs between all components and between components and groundable point.
