TIME-STUDY GUIDELINES BACKGROUND
(6/23/08) 1 of 3 TIME-STUDY GUIDELINES BACKGROUND A reasonable reimbursement methodology, which meets certain conditions specified in Government Code section , subdivision (a), can be used as a "formula for reimbursing local agency and school district costs mandated by the state." Two methods are acceptable for documenting employee time charged to mandated cost programs: Actual time Reporting and time study . These methods are described below. Application of time study results is restricted. As explained in the time study Results section below, the results may be projected forward a maximum of two years or applied retroactively to initial claims, current-year claims, and late-filed claims, provided certain criteria are met.
