Asynchronous Sequential Circuits - Stanford University
cussed in Section 14.2. In both cases we compute a next state based on current state and input. What’s different is the dynamics of how the current state is updated with the next state. Without a clocked state register, the state of an asynchronous sequential circuit may change at any time (asynchronously).

QUEUING THEORY - Whitman College
www.whitman.eduIn the second section of this paper, we will begin defining the basic queuing model. We will begin by reviewing the necessary probabilistic background needed to understand the theory. The we will move on to discussing notation, queuing disciplines, birth-death processes, steady-state probabilities, and Little’s queuing formula.
