Intensive Behavioral Interventions
Some states mandate coverage of intensive behavioral interventions and/or trea tment of autism spectrum disorders (ASD) for benefit plans regulated under state law. For example, New York law requires regulated benefit plans to provide coverage for the screening, diagnosis and treatment of ASD, including applied behavioral analysis.
