Water-Quality Indices for Specific Water Uses - USGS
The water-quality index can be a good tool for presenting water-quality data. It can be used in trend analyses, graphical displays, and in tabular presentations. It is an excellent format for sum marizing overall water-quality conditions over space and time. This report presents a new concept in the devel opment of water-quality indices.
