2 In addition to curbside recycling pickups, our Public Works Department has made it easier for residents to drop off household recyclables at Minnie Veal in North Edison . Our 471 Meadow Rd recycling location is currently under renovation and is scheduled to reopen Fall of 2019. Edison will again partner with Re-Purpose NJ to recycle textiles, like old clothing, coats, outerwear, handbags and cloth accessories. Textile recycling bins are at the following addresses around town 20 New York Blvd., 7 Langstaff Ave., 745 New Durham Road, Minnie B. Veal Community Center, and each public library. Edison will also host another E-Recycling Event this Fall at Papaianni Park. Your participation since 2017 has prevented hundreds of tons of old televisions, computers, printers and fax machines from going into landfills. Our Township recently received a state grant to promote recycling education in hopes to increase our towns recycling efforts.

3 These funds coincide with our storm water management awareness programs, which help to prevent fertilizers, pesticides, oils, detergents and animal waste from seeping into storm drains, polluting our rivers, creeks and ultimately contaminating the Raritan Bay.
