1 ANCQ 2015 An International quiz competition Conducted by : The royal australian chemical institute , australia Zonal centre : Lady Doak College -------------------------- International australian national chemistry quiz -2015 (ANCQ 2015 is annually conducted by the royal australian chemical institute , australia . The quiz is truly International with the participation of many prominent countries such as australia . Papua New Guinea, Fiji, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, Western Samoa Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Sri lanka, Thailand, Brunei, Vanuatu, Germany, China, Austria and India. The ANCQ is the only educational event of its kind. One of the aims of the quiz is to popularize science in general and chemistry in particular. In order to catch them young , the quiz starts from class 7th to 12th. This year it was held on Thursday 3rd September 2015. This was extremely well received in all the 17 countries attracting over 1,00,000 entries.)

2 The quiz competition for the Madurai zone was organized by our college. A total of 481 students from 9 schools in and around Madurai participated in the Programme. The quiz was conducted in the respective schools by the school coordinators. One student from Laksmi School, received the Award for excellance performance and 5 students ( 2 from Laksmi School, 1- from Jeevana School, 1 from Kendriya Vidyalaya, 1- from TVS Hr. Sec.) School received the award for outstanding performance. We thank and appreciate the teacher who helped us in conducting the quiz for their contribution and co-operation. We thank the Co-ordinator for the quiz , Prof. Dr. Brijesh Pare for his guidance, patience and support through out the programme.
