1 Apply for dxcc Awards on Logbook of The World Congratulations! You have qualified to join the prestigious DX Century Club or reached a new dxcc milestone. Making an application for dxcc or an endorsement is easy using Logbook of The World. Just follow these easy steps through the four application screens and your dxcc diploma will be on its way. Basic dxcc rules are available on the web. Log into your LoTW user page. the AWARDS tab. your LoTW dxcc Award Account. Select the APPLICATION tab. Award Application Part 1 After checking the APPLICATION tab you will be directed to dxcc Award Application PART 1 Here you will select the QSOs that you wish to have credited in this application. is best to CHECK ALL to receive all credits that your have earned. CONTINUE Award Application Part 2 information helps us track activity and does not affect your application fees.

2 LoTW applications , electronic dxcc applications and paper dxcc applications are treated as separate applications and processed individually in the order they are received. You may not combine paper QSL cards with a LoTW dxcc application. (No hybrid applications ) Award Application Part 3 The next screen allows you to select the awards that you are applying for. This example shows that the applicant is eligible for dxcc Mixed and Phone awards. Check the awards that you want to receive. On the lower portion of this screen you will enter your name as you want it on the award and the address to send the award. This screen shows your total fees. (Does not include return postage for paper cards.) Fees are based on information you provided. The final total may be adjusted for errors, corrections, additions or omissions Award Application Part 4 * If you are applying for 5 Band dxcc or wish to order a plaque use the comments box to indicate your request.

3 Beginning April 2, 2012 A new fee structure for dxcc has been implemented. The new lower application fees for LoTW and electronic dxcc applications make it easier for Dxers to Apply for awards at anytime. There are no penalties for making several applications during a calendar year. The new lower LoTW QSO credit fees are the same regardless of the number of LoTW QSOs in your application. (12 cents per QSO.) LoTW QSO Credits The LoTW QSO credit bank has been eliminated in favor of a new flat rate QSO credit fee. You will not be able to add QSO credits to your bank. If you previously purchased LoTW QSO credits the credits in your bank will be used toward any dxcc applications until the balance is zero. LoTW QSO Credits At the bottom of the screen you will enter your payment. When paying by check or money order your application will expire if payment is not received in 30 days.

4 After entering the payment information click the SUBMIT APPLICATION button. Once you have made an application you cannot submit another until the previous application is completed. Award Application Part 4 Your dxcc application is complete and will be processed in the order it was accepted by the dxcc desk. Select ACCOUNT STATUS to view your LoTW dxcc Account. The following screens contain information on viewing your LoTW dxcc screens. What do the columns mean? Award These are the awards that you are working towards. What do the columns mean? Selected These are the QSOs that LoTW has selected for the particular awards. What do the columns mean? Applied These are the QSOs that you have applied to the award after you have made an on-line application. What do the columns mean? Awarded These are the QSOs that have been awarded to you after your applications have been processed.

5 What do the columns mean? Total / Current These are your totals. Total includes deleted dxcc entities. Current is only current entities. The dxcc Challenge award only counts current dxcc entities Select the APPLICATION HISTORY tab. Award Application History Award Application History This shows the applications you have submitted from the LoTW system. Status Sent = Application sent to LoTW waiting to be processed Finished = application completed Error = Application cancelled due to errors Time & Date stamp when application was sent to LoTW Number of LoTW QSLs in your application.
