1 Battery Cable Maintenance As part of routine Maintenance of your motorcycle, you need to periodically check and clean your Battery Cable connections. Due to vibration, soft materials, expansion and contraction of the Battery terminal and terminal ends, it is common for connections to become loose. Any questionable parts should be replaced immediately. All parts should be cleaned and protected before reinstalling. There are several products on the market today that are specifically for cleaning and protecting your Battery Cable ends. One easy way to clean your Battery Cable ends after disconnecting them from the Battery is with a mixture of Baking Soda and Water.

2 You may need to use a small brush to remove all oxidation. Once the Battery Cables and Terminals are completely clean, apply a small amount of Dielectric Grease to each Battery Terminal prior to reattaching Battery Cables.
