1 England-Idlewild & Dog park 5550 Idlewild Rd., burlington , KY 41005 Boone County Parks & Recreation 859-334-2117 North England - Idlewild park is a 290-acre facility with fishing ponds and natural wetland areas. Seven athletic fields are available for baseball, softball, soccer and football, as well as a basketball court, an 18-hole disc golf course, and a large playground. There are miles of paved trails that include fitness stations, and 11 miles of wooded mountain bike trails (Trail entrance is in the rear of the park between ball fields #6 and #7). Three picnic shelters are available and may be reserved.
2 The park is located on Idlewild Road just past the Boone County Fairgrounds. The Boone County Dog park is a four acre facility adjacent to England-Idlewild park . It has two half acre sections for small dogs, two one-acre sections for large dogs, and has a double gate entry system to allow safe entrance/exits and to keep other dogs from slipping out. It is equipped with water fountains for dogs and people alike, and a paved parking area.
