1 Why use RosemountTM 3 DVision? for management and control of Rosemount 5708 3D Solids ScannersAPPLICATION BACKGROUND Rosemount 3 DVision/3 DMultiVisionTM enables real-time assessment of bulk solids and powders, of any type or size, stored in storage vessels. The application provides the essential, real-time data required for critical decisions necessary for successful solids inventory plant software works in conjunction with the Rosemount 5708 3D Solids Scanner providing measurement data to a Windows based computer running the programs. The program continuously collects data from the monitored vessel and generates reports. The Rosemount 3 DVision software is designed for a Multi-Server Multi-Client The Rosemount 3 DVision server is a software component that manages scanner communication and data computing at a single local site or multiple remote sites.

2 The 3 DVision server collects and stores readings, generates the reports and transfers the information to all connected 3 DVision clients. The Rosemount 3 DVision Client facilitates the display of computed scanner data, viewing of 3D visualization of the material stored in the vessels* and management of system configuration, alerts and reports. 3 Allowing SCADA like functionality to sites that do not operate with such systems - 13 registers available for wealth of solids measurement data - Interface to SCADA systems including visualization of material surface Any SCADA system supporting Modbus RTU or Modbus TCP can be connected to the Rosemount 3 DVision Server and poll the vessel s information and view the 3D image (in Rosemount 5708 SEV). The 3 DVision sits between the Rosemount 5708 and the SCADA system allowing the SCADA to poll the Modbus registers and manage the vessels seamlessly from the 3 DVision.
