This guidance applies to all personnel (military, civilian, and contractors) working for the United States Air FORCE (USAF). It applies to Air FORCE Reserve Command (AFRC) and Air National Guard (ANG) Units. This INSTRUCTION implements AFPD 23-1, Materiel Management and facilitates the implementation of Department of Defense (DoD) guidance from DoDM , DoD Supply Chain Materiel Management Procedures; DoD Directive , Equipping the Reserve Forces; DoD , DoD Integrated Materiel Management (IMM) for Consumable Items: Operating Procedures for Item Management Coding (IMC); DoD , Shelf-Life Item Management Manual; and DoDI , National Guard and Reserve Equipment Report (NGRER).
