Upon restoration of the ACpower, the emergency lamps will switch off andthe charger will automatically recharge DisconnectWhen the battery s terminal voltage falls below80% of the rated voltage, the low-voltagecircuitry disconnects the LIGHTING load. Thedisconnect remains in effect until normal utilitypower is restored, preventing deep Switch/Power Indicator LightConveniently located combination TestSwitch/Power Indicator Light allows for manualverification of proper operation of the transfercircuit and emergency lamps. The emergencylamps will test for 30 seconds when Test SwitchAllows verification of proper operation of thetransfer circuit and emergency lamps with alaser pointer (laser is sold as an accessory).

These recombinant cyclebatteries typically provide eight to ten years oflife and may be operated in any Nickel Cadmium BatterySure-Lites sealed nickel cadmium batteries aremaintenance-free with a life expectancy of 15years. The sealed rechargeable nickel cadmiumbattery utilizes positive and negative sinteredplate construction which offers high dischargerates and stable performance over a wide rangeof temperatures. The specially designedresealable vent automatically controls cellpressure, assuring safety and reliability. Thisbattery is best suited for harsh ambienttemperatures because the electrolyte is notactive in the electrochemical process.
