In front of hundreds of spectators, during the annual Heart Rhythm Society Meeting, PAPPONE performed an AF ablation procedure, by using a simple computer keyboard able to remotely control a magnetically guided ablation catheter. The importance of this event is that new frontiers have been crossed, as physicians can now carry out long-distance heart procedures in any part of the world.

Leading study entitled Catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation using a 3D mapping system has itself been cited in 180 articles, including the guidelines issued by the American Heart Association/American College of Cardiology/European Society of Cardiology for management of patients with atrial fibrillation. 2.
